Notice that the definition of स्वाङ्ग is that it should be 1. non-liquid 2. visible 3. present in (at least some) living beings 4. not created abnormally. Here, the hand of a statue would also qualify.
With no संयोग in उपधा, the उपसर्जन-applied स्वाङ्ग-indicating तदन्त अदन्त प्रतिपादिक have an optional र्ङ्ईष in fem. gender. For example, चन्द्रमुखी (or चन्द्रमुखा).
