1.2.54 लुब्योगाप्रख्यानात्

When लुप् is applicable and when it isn't is also dependent on popular usage.

1.2.53 तदशिष्यं सञ्ज्ञ्याप्रमाणत्वात्

सञ्ज्ञ्याप्रमाण means the colloquial usage of a word. अशिष्य means untameable. The sense of gender or number is a semantic concern - depends on the popular vote.

1.2.52 विशेषणानां चाजातेः

The same applies for the qualifiers (विशेषण).

1.2.51 लुपि युक्तवद् व्यक्तिवचने

The sense which is the cause of application of the suffix is called प्रकृति. The rule says that the word that results from the suffix that has undergone लुप् should confirm with the प्रकृति. In other words, प्रकृति would supercede the post-लुप् state. For example, पञ्चाल अञ् - पञ्चाल (masc. pl. in one sense or "जनपद" masc. sl. in another sense)  which results in पञ्चालाः or पञ्चालः.

1.2.50 इद् गोण्याः

ह्रस्व is implied for "गोणि" लुक् तद्धित. For example, पञ्चगोणिः etc.

When तद्धित is लुक्, then the स्त्री suffix is also लुक्.

1.2.48 गोस्त्रियोरुपसर्जनस्य

In स्त्री and गो, ह्रस्व is applicable despite suffixes.

The पद without verb and without suffix is called प्रातिपदिक .

1.2.44 एक विभक्ति च अपूर्वनिपाते

When specifying an object qualified an attribute, it is the object that becomes उपसर्जन not the attribute. For example, in मालाम् अतिक्रान्तं - अतिमालम् , मालाम् अतिक्रान्तेन - अतिमालेन - माला's विभक्ति remains the same and it is एकविभक्ति and is the one that is उपसर्जन.

1.2.43 प्रथमानिर्दिष्टं समास उपसर्जनम्

The term referred to by प्रथमा is उपसर्जन.

1.2.42 तत्पुरुषः समानाधिकरणः कर्मधारयः

The तत्पुरुष of two entities that are the influence of the same object (another entity) are termed as कर्मधारय. For example, कृष्णा चतुर्दशी - कृष्णचतुर्दशी is कर्मधारय because कृष्णा and चतुर्दशी refer to the same object.

1.2.41 अपृक्त एकाल् प्रत्ययः

An अल् (वर्ण) suffix that has एक (single) form is अपृक्त. For example, लता सु - लता स् - लता (स् is omitted because अपृक्त state).

1.2.40 उदात्तस्वरितपरस्य सन्नतरः

अनुदात्ततर is effective - after उदात्त and स्वरित.

In संहिता, the स्वरित are अनुदात्त.

देव and ब्रह्मण are pronounced in the अनुदात्त fashion.

One of the निगद in  शतपथ ब्राह्मण is सुब्रह्मण्या. उदात्त is applied for the निगद (not for the word सुब्रह्मण्या itself ).
