1.1.48 षष्ठी स्थानेयोगा

In grammar sutras षष्ठी विभक्ति is meant to represent  "at the place (स्थान)". The rule इको यणचि for example, would apply at the place of इकः since that is in षष्ठी विभक्ति in the rule.
