1.1.51 अलो अन्त्यस्य

The class of षष्ठी in a rule results in a certain आदेश or लोप .This आदेश or लोप occurs at the place of अल् (i.e. all characters) e.g. दिव् सु -> दि औ स् -> द्यौस् .
