2.4.26 परवल्लिङ्गं द्वन्द्वतत्पुरुषयोः

The gender of the द्वन्द्व तत्पुरुष समास is same as that of the उत्तरपद. For example, कुक्कुटमयूर्यौ इमे, मयूरीकुक्कुटौ इमौ (notice how order changes the gender).
