Verb after a सार्वधातुक प्रत्यय in भावकर्म undergoes यक् (ककार इत्). For example, स्वप् यक् त - स् उ अ प् य त - सुप्यते. भावकर्म is essentially the sense of धातु itself. Notice that लट्, लोट्, लङ्,विधिलिङ् are सार्वधातुक while लिट्, लुट्, लृट्, आ लिङ्, लुङ्, लृङ् are आर्धधातुक. The सार्वधातुक undergo यक् and आर्धधातुक don't undergo यक्.
