With कर्तृ-indicating सार्वधातुक suffixes, धिवि and कृवि undergo उ (the अकार of verbs undergoes अन्तादेश). For example, धिवि नुम् व् - धिन्व् तिप् - धिन् अ उ ति - धिन् उ ति (लोप of अ) - धिनोति (The लघूपधगुण is barred through अचः परस्मिन् पूर्वविधौ - instead सार्वधातुकगुण is applied). Similarly, कृन् अ उ ति - कृणोति.
