कृ and वृष् have optional क्यप्. कृ would have had ण्यत् through ऋहलोऽर्ण्यत् but the sutra allows क्यप् - कृत्यम् (क्यप्) otherwise कार्यम् (ण्यत्). वृष् would have had mandatory क्यप् ऋदुपधाच्चा- but the sutra makes क्यप् optional - वृष्यम् (क्यप्) and वर्ष्यम् (ण्यत्) otherwise.
