इष् verb in the object-form, in the sense of wishing and in the simple case of one subject (कर्त्ता) has सन्. For example, wishes to कृ - कृ सन् - कृ कृ स - कृ किर् स - कर् कीर् स (इको झल्, क्क्ङ्इति च, अज्झनगमां सनि, ऋत इद् धातोः, हलि च) - क कीर् स - चिकीर् स (कुहोश्चुः) - ... - चिकीर्षति. Note that if any of the three conditions are not met, सन् is not mandated.
