अपि in the sense of पदार्थ (the other entity) संभावन (capability), कामचार (fulfilment of desire), निन्दा, समुच्चय (group) has कर्मप्रवचनीय and निपात status. For example,
1. मधुनो अपि स्यात् - (पदार्थ) No ष in स्यात्
2. अपि स्तुयाद् विष्णुं (should विष्णु be remembered? - of course विष्णु is unattainable here so the sense is expressing a capability - संभावना)
3. अपि स्तुहि (remember or don't - it's up to you)
4. धिग्जाल्मं देवदत्तमपि सिञ्चेत् (what the hell- देवदत्त is watering onions - निन्दा)
5. अपि सिञ्च, अपि स्तुहि (water and remember - समुच्चय)
